We have exciting news for all you free account users out there. Today, we’ve updated our free accounts to include more features, making TSheets more useful than ever!

Here are some of the features that are now included in ALL of our free accounts:

What’s the catch? Free accounts are limited to just 5 Clients/Projects and don’t have access to our text messaging or dial-in features. Need more than 5 Clients/Projects? No problem, simply upgrade to a paid Freelancer account for $10/mo and gain access to unlimited Clients/Projects!

Just launched on every TSheets account: all new Reports, designed to improve the look, feel, speed and functionality of the entire reporting feature.

Reporting is the real end game of time tracking. It’s when and where the numbers and other information recorded over the course of business—including time and GPS stamps, job codes, PTO, approvals and so much more—can be put to real use.

From payroll to job costing to employee supervision to billings—our new reporting feature opens up a whole new world of versatility and viewing options. Quickly drill down to details based on the time frame, employee, client, project, and other reporting filters with interactive graphs and data. You can also export info and keep track of exceptions, like approvals.

Take a test drive of the new functionality under “Reports”. Check out a project, payroll or approval report under the “commonly used” tab. If you need some time to get used to the new feature, just select the legacy timesheet report on this tab.

Feedback makes everything better. So send word on what you like and would like to see on the new reporting feature by emailing help@tsheets.com.

Payroll Reports Made Easy

Project Reporting That Makes Sense

Admins and managers rejoice—Multi-User paid time off (PTO) entry has landed!

This update allows for managers and admins to record PTO entries for multiple users at a time.

How is this useful? Say you’re a manager and want to record a holiday for 20 employees. Previously, you would have had to perform an entry for each individual user—a very time consuming task. With this new update, however, you can select multiple users from a list and perform the entry just once. This saves time and reduces entry errors that could potentially occur.

Here are some of the details:

We hope this feature helps save you time and the hassle of entering PTO for multiple employees at once.

So even when you lose yourself in your phone, just for the record, you never get lost.

With an increase of mobile employees in the workforce, achieving Defense Contract Audit Agency compliance (DCAA compliance) on the move is now a widespread contractor concern. TSheets — a web-based time tracking, management and reporting SaaS — offers a cost-effective solution with iPhone, Android, GPS-stamping, and other mobile capabilities designed to help contractors stay DCAA compliant.

“We have built mobile applications and tools that make it beautifully simple to use our software and stay compliant. Now, everyone from employees to supervisors can track and manage timekeeping on the go,” says Matt Rissell, TSheets’ CEO. “Our secure web-based solution means no downtime and no expensive modules, no slow clunky software, and you receive the benefits of instant updates instead of time-consuming installs.”

TSheets’ timekeeping technology has received the validation of an independent DCAA compliance consulting firm, Mike McNew and Associates. With TSheets, time can be tracked against specific projects or job codes, and an audit trail exists for daily time entries, as well as for corrections, approvals and adjustments. Immediate and flexible reporting is also an essential feature, especially in the case of an audit.

Beyond native apps for smartphones with GPS stamping, TSheets’ solution allows mobile contracting employees to track time using SMS text messaging, an internet browser, even Twitter.

“Most timekeeping companies offer expensive and complicated modules to be DCAA compliant, but that really only complicates the day-to-day tracking, management and reporting it takes to protect against audits in the real world,” says Mike McNew, head of McNew and Associates, a government contracts management and compliance consulting firm. “TSheets is different. It’s point-and-click easy for supervisors and employees to use and understand, while providing the pinpoint accuracy, record keeping detail and audit trail the government requires.”

For federal government contractors under the stringent regulations of the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), TSheets offers a time tracking, management and reporting solution that helps guard against DCAA audits.

Many timekeeping companies offer expensive and complicated packages and software that claim to be DCAA compliant, but that really only complicate the day-to-day tracking, management and reporting it takes to protect against audits in the real world,” says Mike McNew, head of McNew and Associates, a government contracts management and compliance consulting firm.

“TSheets is different. It’s easy for supervisors and employees to use and understand, while providing the pinpoint accuracy, record keeping detail and audit trail the government requires.”

In order to be DCAA compliant, contractors must keep accurate records of employee time, including tracking hourly time worked against specific projects or tasks. An audit trail must exist for daily time entries, as well as for corrections, approvals and adjustments. Reporting is also an essential element, especially in the case of an audit.

“We are excited to offer a DCAA compliant solution to our customers that doesn’t require them to add expensive modules,” says Matt Rissell, CEO of TSheets. “When you couple our already user-friendly time tracking system with the validation of a DCAA compliance consulting firm, you’ve reached government contracting bliss.”

TSheets is a secure, web-based solution that allows even traveling employees to accurately clock in or out on a smartphone, online, by text or phone, or through other flexible options. A time and date stamped audit trail exists on approvals, modifications, timesheet corrections, adjustments and submissions.

DCAA compliance means perfecting and standardizing the process of timekeeping all the way down the line, with instantaneous and accurate time tracking, management and reporting,” notes McNew. “TSheets allows companies of every size to fall in line seamlessly, without impacting their bottom line.”

***While TSheets meets the material requirements of the FAR and DCAA for proper timekeeping, you should seek advice and proper council from a firm specializing in DCAA audit and compliance matters to ensure full compliance.
